Urgent appointments
We offer same day consultations for children under 16 with acute presentations.
To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:

The practice runs a full appointments system. If you call the surgery, a receptionist will ask you for a brief description of why you need to see a doctor that day and book you an appointment with the most suitable clinician.
We aim to see you within 10 minutes of your appointment time.
Repeat prescriptions and medical certificates are not supplied during emergency appointments. Please phone to arrange an emergency appointment, please be aware you may have a wait to see the on call doctor as they are dealing with all medical emergencies.
Routine appointments
You can request a routine appointment in advance during opening times.
We will respond to requests within 2 working days.
You can also:

- use the NHS Wales App to book an appointment, screening test or vaccination
- use our nurse or healthcare assistant appointment request form and we will respond within 4 working hours
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.
Consultations available to patients
Patients who have not been seen within the last 3 years, or those over 75 years old who have not been seen within the last 12 months, can request a health check.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use the NHS Wales App
- fill out a cancel an appointment form
- phone us on 01639 643 786 during opening times
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 Wales or call 111.
The NHS 111 Wales symptom checker is for people aged 12 and over. Call 111 if you need help for anyone under 12.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Requests for home visits should only be made for those who are housebound or terminally ill.
If you want to arrange a home visit, please contact us on 01639 643 786 before 10am. A doctor will ring you back to assess the need for a home visit.
Please remember that home visits take a lot of time and doctors can usually see five patients in the time it takes to visit one at home.
Most medical conditions can be managed more effectively in the surgery.
